Cremorne House

Nestled in Cremorne, this unique property was thoughtfully designed to harmonise with its natural surroundings. The original layout had been carefully crafted around two mature trees, including a large frangipani at the rear of the property. The vision was to preserve the home’s original character, whilst bringing the home up-to-date with a few more contemporary touches.

The renovation involved significant alterations and additions, most notably the creation of an expansive L-shaped extension that linked the original dining area to the outdoor deck, creating a more seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. A large picture window was also incorporated into the sitting area, enhancing its outlook to allow residents to fully appreciate the serene views. Throughout the home, natural materials such as Venetian textured plaster, rich natural stone, and warm American oak were used to create a minimalist, timeless aesthetic that complemented the surrounding natural landscape.

Deuchrass Architects also worked in collaboration with Fifth Seasons Landscape Architects to reimagine the outdoor spaces. The redesign included the revitalisation of the rear pool area, gardens, and a new set of meticulously crafted stairs, further enhancing the home for outdoor living and entertaining.
