Manly Vale House

This renovation project for this beach house in Manly Vale aimed to enhance the home’s living space by adding a parents’ retreat to the upper level. The main objective of this extension was to meet the family’s evolving needs, whilst still preserving the modern and understated feel of the residence.

The meticulously designed extension created by Deuchrass Architects seamlessly combines elegance and tranquillity, whilst emphasising the home’s stunning architectural features of the building, including charming visible rafters. The exposure of these rafters, coupled with the use of internal cladding, clean horizontal and vertical lines, and a light and bright colour scheme, created an open and airy feel for the upper level.

The newly-constructed addition of the parents' retreat not only increased privacy and comfort for the family, but also elevated the overall aesthetic of the home, creating a harmonious blend of functionality and style.
